काठमांडू: नेपाल और तिब्बत में आई विनाशकारी बाढ़ ने भारी तबाही मचाई है। इस आपदा में मृतकों की संख्या लगातार बढ़ती जा रही है। नेपाल पुलिस के अनुसार, शनिवार सुबह तक नेपाल में बाढ़ से मरने वालों की संख्या बढ़कर 626 हो गई है, जबकि 2,426 लोग अभी भी लापता हैं। लापता लोगों में 320 भारतीय नागरिक भी शामिल बताए जा रहे हैं। प्रभावित क्षेत्रों में बड़े पैमाने पर राहत एवं बचाव अभियान जारी है।
8,799 पुलिसकर्मी राहत कार्य में जुटे
नेपाल पुलिस ने बताया कि खोज और बचाव अभियान के लिए 8,799 पुलिसकर्मियों को तैनात किया गया है। वहीं, नेपाल की नेशनल डिजास्टर रिस्क रिडक्शन एंड मैनेजमेंट अथॉरिटी (NDRRMA) के अनुसार शुक्रवार शाम तक राहत और बचाव कार्यों में 15,431 सुरक्षाकर्मी लगाए गए थे। इनमें नेपाल आर्मी के 6,755, नेपाल पुलिस के 4,473 और आर्म्ड पुलिस फोर्स के 4,203 जवान शामिल हैं।
विदेशी नागरिकों समेत हजारों लोग लापता
‘द हिमालयन टाइम्स’ की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, लापता लोगों में 644 विदेशी नागरिक भी शामिल हैं। NDRRMA के अनुसार, लापता लोगों में हाइड्रोपावर परियोजनाओं के कर्मचारी, विदेशी नागरिक, स्थानीय निवासी तथा सुरक्षा और सरकारी कर्मचारी शामिल हैं। अकेले 933 हाइड्रोइलेक्ट्रिक परियोजना कर्मी और 517 विदेशी नागरिक अब तक लापता बताए गए हैं।
इसके अलावा नेपाल आर्मी के 45 जवान, नेपाल पुलिस के 28 जवान, आर्म्ड पुलिस फोर्स के 13 जवान, कस्टम कार्यालय के 15 कर्मचारी और इमिग्रेशन कार्यालय के 15 कर्मचारी भी लापता लोगों की सूची में शामिल हैं।
चितवन सबसे ज्यादा प्रभावित
अधिकारियों के अनुसार, सबसे अधिक 233 शव चितवन जिले में मिले हैं। इसके बाद नवलपरासी ईस्ट में 154, गोरखा में 46, धाडिंग में 40, नुवाकोट में 37, तनहुन में 30, नवलपरासी वेस्ट में 27 और रसुवा में 12 शव बरामद किए गए हैं।
4,451 लोगों को सुरक्षित निकाला गया
राहत एजेंसियों ने अब तक 4,451 लोगों को सुरक्षित बचाने में सफलता हासिल की है। इनमें शुक्रवार को हाइड्रोइलेक्ट्रिक टनलों से निकाले गए 191 लोग और हवाई मार्ग से रेस्क्यू किए गए 517 लोग शामिल हैं। इसके अलावा 129 विदेशी नागरिकों को भी सुरक्षित बाहर निकाला गया है।
नेपाल और तिब्बत के कई इलाकों में अभी भी राहत एवं बचाव अभियान युद्धस्तर पर जारी है। प्रशासन का कहना है कि लापता लोगों की तलाश के लिए हर संभव प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं, लेकिन खराब मौसम और दुर्गम भूभाग के कारण अभियान में चुनौतियां बनी हुई हैं।
